Early Postclassic Xaltocan Ceramics

Phase 1 Xaltocan is associated with Aztec I Black-on-Orange pottery and corresponds roughly to the Early Postclassic/Late Toltec (AD 900- 1150) period.  However, radiocarbon dates from my excavations suggest  that the exclusive use of Aztec 1 pottery (Phase 1 Xaltocan) extended as far as the mid-thirteenth century and thus extended from approximately AD 900-1250.    The ceramics below were all recovered from Structure 1, a Xaltocan Phase 1 domestic context.
